Tell me a story

Just in time for SXSW, some folks at AOL have launched Ficlets. What in the heck are Ficlets?

A ficlet is a short story that enables you to collaborate with the world. Once you’ve written and shared your ficlet, any other user can pick up the narrative thread by adding a prequel or sequel. In this manner, you may know where the story begins, but you’ll never guess where (or even if!) it ends.

I also hope Ficlets is a harbinger of better things to come from AOL, but I'll hold back the optimism for now.

The site reminds me of LowBrow, without the voyeurism. But I can see that this could become quite a thing ... a lot more interesting than twitter.

My first (and possibly last) ficlet can be found here. If you write your own, leave a link in the comments.
