Over the past few months, I've been getting a kick out of BookMooch. Its a free book trading service. For every book you list to give away, you get 1/10 a point. For every book you give away you get a full point. "Mooching' a book costs one point, but you get 1/10 of a point back if you leave feedback. The only money you spend is to send books out; sending a paperback across the country costs about $2.00.
Another site I find interesting is Bikely. You can trace a bike (or walking) route on Google Maps, and share the route with others. This route shows the bulk of my commute. I just hope it warms up soon so I can put this route to use.
