36 Week Appointment, 28 days to go
Actually, it is less than that. How about 22 days to go? The doctor has scheduled a c-section on July 21st at noon. How weird is that? Day Timer entry: July 21st, 12:00 p.m. Baby Delivered. Yikes!
For the past few days I have been really nervous about the c-section, but I am coming to realize that it doesn’t matter how our little guy arrives, just as long as he is safe. That and given the option of delivering a breech baby vaginally, I think the c-section sounds like a fine idea. Oh and another plus is how cute he will be in his newborn pictures considering the fact that he won’t have cone head from sliding down the birth canal. Yeah for a cute round little head!
Other than that, the doctor appointment was uneventful. Baby is still breech. Blood pressure is still good. Carpal tunnel is still raging! Feet now the size of loaves of super Wonder bread and toes look like Vienna sausages from the swelling. Doc said there isn’t much to do about the swelling except try to keep my feet up as much as possible. Yesterday morning I went for a walk with Miss B and my size 11 tennis shoes would barely tie because I had to widen them so much. My once comfortable flip flops now leave indentations on my feet. Alas, it will be nice to have this swelling go down.
