Well, we made it to Frankfurt. Our hotel room isn't ready yet, so Miriam and I are sitting in the lobby, noodling on the laptops. Some things will never change.
The flight wasn't too bad. We got out of Dulles an hour late, but the pilot made up for it ... I don't think we arrived any later than originally scheduled. I couldn't sleep at all on the plane: it was either too loud, too bright or just too uncomfortable. I hope we can get into the room soon, so I can shower and change my clothes.
I don't fee prepared for this trip. I didn't pick up any useful phrases, and I really have no idea of things to see in Frankfurt. I want to check out the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz, but, aside from that, I have no idea of what there is to see.
I'm not too worried. We're here to see Dennis, Christy, Danielle, Kaitlyn and Cameron, and I'm sure they will be more than capable tour guides. And I'll be posting all sorts of goodies while we're here.
Auf Wiedersehen!
