I read about Fry's in books like "Insanley Great," and they made it sound like a great store ... the ultimate geek super store. Need RAM, blank CDs and a toothbrush at 2 AM? No problem; and pick up a case of Ramen while you're at it.

Now, maybe the store was that cool at some point, but for the two years I lived in SIlicon Valley, I found the stores to be less than thrilling. While they did have a great selection of techno-gadgetry, the customer support was horrible, they were never open 24 hours, and I never found a good food selection.

Anyway, they are opening up a store in Las Vegas.
